As the son of a Ford Dealer in Australia, Roger developed a passion for all things automotive from an early age. His first exposure to two wheels came from thrashing a BSA Bantam 125cc around a dirt track. Commuting to college on a variety of Japanese motorcycles gave way to a subsequent interest in four wheeled vehicles.
After moving to the USA, Roger competed successfully in several Concours d'Elegance events for automobiles. Throughout those years he still had a yearning to get back on two wheels. After moving to downtown San Jose, he got the bug to purchase his first scooter - a kitted Aprilia Scarebeo. It was on this scooter that he met members of the VCLG. This group proved to be a fun bunch.
